This is, in a word, stunning. For one, I love the shallow depth of field. It brings the focus to the model and even to the textures of the tree bark. I also love the faint details in the background that look like very small, thin branches. They add a little something extra so the background isn't just a plain one, even though it's obviously not the focus. I also love how the light from the pixie above her hand dances on her face. You made it look so realistic, it's unreal. I also like how her hair is blond to contrast with the darkness of everything else.

The only thing I would say I don't really care for would be the dA watermark, but with something this beautiful you definitely have to protect it from art theft. Simply gorgeous deviation!

As always you come up with beautiful concepts that you execute flawlessly. There is a clarity to this piece the blending is seamless with the light and shadowing subtle but entirely realistic. What’s more one could sit and detect the incredible about of attention to detail, the surreal light in the background, the soft light on the model’s face from the glow of the fairy, and the intricate pattern on the model’s hand.
Simplicity is often beautiful and while this particular piece has an air of simplicity it is beyond minimal in its effect to strike the chords of the imagination and cause the art fan to be hungry for more.
